Happy Birthday Molly & Ella!

Last month our daughters turned 5 & 7 so I thought I'd share some images of our gorgeous, goofy girls while we're off camping in BC (horray!) Enjoy :)

Ava the little lady, turns 2!

We had so much fun photographing the gorgeous little Ava yesterday. Dave & Kim are great friends of ours & I have been photographing them from their wedding through pregnancy, Ava's first year (& smash the cake) until now & wow, the time has flown! Ava's having her 2nd birthday party on Sunday (while we're at the Wedding Fair) & Kim really was hoping to have a few images to show everyone. How could I resist this adorable little face? Happy Birthday Ava!

Charlie turns 1!

Little Charlotte has been my adorable subject from mom (Emma) being pregnant through her first birthday. It has been so much fun watching her grow & seeing the little lady she's turned into. After some family shots in the yard we did a smash the cake & Charlie loves her sweets - she wasn't so much into the smashing of the cake but definitely loved the taste of the cake! Happy Birthday Charlotte.

Deon turns 1!

After being rained out from several shoots I finally was able to get out to Lake Chestermere last week to do a great family portrait with the Badenhorsts. I have been shooting little Deon since he was still in his mom's tummy & wow, has he grown fast. Mom & dad are so obviously in love with their little son & he's a constant source of smiles & joy for them. Thanks for a great shoot guys!

Trash the Cake #2 - Ava Gorgenyi

It’s interesting to see the different personalities as we get to know kids from birth & as they grow into little children. Ava is every bit a little lady & as well mannered kid that you can imagine. When presented with the opportunity to destroy a cake & get dirty she avoided the situation & even tried to crawl around the cake. Once she tasted a bit of the icing she was more interested but like I say...every bit a little lady.

First birthday's are one of the biggest for parents & kids. We have a super crazy session we love to do with one year olds which is accurately named ‘trash the cake’ Here’s what you get when you combine a kid, a cake & a camera - meet Kaylum!
