Love knows no age

This is the second couple in the last month I've have had the opportunity to capture that have a few decades of marriage under their belts. John & Barb have figured a few things out when it comes to a long lasting relationship.  It's interesting as we usually meet people as they are starting out their marriage, it's always great to see couples still going strong many years later.

Ella 'Chocolate Head' Superhero

'Chocolate-head-super-hero-to-the-rescue' she says with her big blue eyes round & serious, her red cape lifting slightly with the breeze. I hide my impulse to laugh out loud & smile back at her and with equal seriousness say 'of course you are'.
Our Ella at 3-and-a-half wants to be a superhero when she grows up. 

Little does she know she's already my superhero.

He Came!

He Came! He Came! The Easter Bunny Came!!!!!!!! 7 am.  After seeing BC-DC play a terrific gig last night my ears were still ringing & we were more than feeling tired, but who can resist the squeals of children on the 2nd most exciting morning of the year? (The most exciting being Santa, of course).  The egg search continued on for hours as we sipped our coffee & smiled & snacked on hot cross buns. Then the Easter dresses & new tights had to be paraded around in true princess fashion.  

Hope your Easter bunny came this morning.

Our office is currently closed March 20-25 while we enjoy some much needed family vacation time in B.C.

Another great couple. These 2 arrived for the shoot 25 min. late, a little stressed out, and a lot nervous about having their photos taken. They quickly got into the spirit & in no time were laughing, joking & I even caught some snuggling :)

Super Cute Cards

I wanted to let everyone know we have a great new feature on our website. Unbelievably cute cards. A client of ours, Mary, is a huge scrapbooker & has transfered her talents to making digital scrapbook style cards. They are completely original, sweet & very unique. Lebel Mansion Show

I have a solo photo show up at the Lebel Mansion in Pincher Creek until March 23/08. There was a fun opening last Friday & Matt took a few snapshots while I was being interviewed for the local newspaper (crazy hey?). Here's a glimpse of the evening.

Welcome Nolan

Little Nolan was only 9 days old when I photographed him. Amanda & Ryan are HUGE sports fans so Nolan, of course, had to show his team colors in his first photoshoot. He is a super cute little guy & his favorite thing is snuggling, not so excited about being naked. Such a sweetheart.

Gorgeous Moffatt Pianos

I had the pleasure of photographing a most unusual piano this week. Have a look at this - trombones, guitars, clarinet & a vintage amp all play a part (pun intended). It will be at the Juno Award being held in Calgary next month. This amazing instrument was imagined, designed & custom made at Moffatt Pianos - the most unique piano I have ever seen.

IVF Images of Hope Opening

A few months ago I volunteered with the IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) to be a part of their Images of Hope Fundraiser. The event is taking place this Friday - March 7 at Artspace in Inglewood. It should be a good show & a great cause. I feel so blessed to have been able to easily concieve & have children as well as to work in such a rewarding profession where I see lots of happy families, babies & couples. I am happy to be able to give a little bit back :)

Welcome Isis Valla-Rose

We got to meet 11 day old Isis when we were in Pincher Creek this last weekend. She is an amazing little girl, very quiet & content. Imagine being born & so at peace with all the new activities going on inside your body & outside in your home environment that you didn't even cry. I know the day will come but until then this family is enjoying the wonderful sound of silence. Nice.
