Jean & Bryan are another of our past wedding clients who we are so excited to reconnect with to capture their gorgeous 5 month old daughter Kiki (her real name is Claire but Kiki is her super cute nickname). It's no secret how much I adore photographing little ones & with a happy & oh so wonderfully chubby little subject it makes my job so much fun. Congratulations guys - she's amazing.

Off again! We're in Phoenix Arizona.
This time Matt & I are at our annual DWF conference for the week - it's down in Phoenix this year. We always enjoy listening to leaders in our industry, seeing friends from all over the world & being inspired by some amazing images. We will try to check e-mails daily & will respond as soon as we can. Have a great week - we will be off soaking up all the new tips & tricks to try out when we get back!

Kaitlin - 1 month old
We had the pleasure of photographing Nicole & Joey's wedding several years ago & I was thrilled when they called to get some newborn photos done of their 1 month old daughter Kaitlin. She was 4 weeks early & a wonderful surprise for mom & dad before Christmas. This was my first shoot back after being off for a few weeks & man, what a pleasure it was to capture this wonderful new little family. Enjoy your daughter & the photos guys.

We're off!
What a difference a few days makes. Ellie made a miraculous recovery from her broken shoulder bone & so we took a chance & booked a last minute vacation to Mexico. Somewhere we’d never heard of & couldn’t pronounce the name of Hualtulco. It was paradise. The kids swam for hours & hours every day - ocean, pool, ocean, pool while we drank gallons of pina colada’s & cervesa’s & soaked up the UV rays. We all had an amazing time.
(sorry about the image quality - it's from our iPhone)
Less than 24 hours after landing we’re off to BC for Christmas with the family. It’s a Winter wonderland which our tans seem out of place in. Lots of travelling in a short time but it’s been a great few days.
Hope you are all enjoying a great holiday with loved ones. We certainly are.

Today we are thankful for...

We have had a crazy 24 hours. As many of you know we have been greatly looking forward to taking our kids down to Mexico for a week (leaving yesterday) for a much needed relaxing vacation & fun family time. On Wed. late afternoon our youngest daughter, Ella, who's 4 (& a 1/2) was at a friend's place for a play date & fell out of a treehouse from 8 feet up.
Long story short - she broke her collarbone & our trip to Mexico had to be cancelled :( I know - what are the chances? Less than 8 hours before we were supposed to get on the plane! We are all obviously very disappointed that we are not on the beach right now drinking margarhitta's but we are SO thankful that our little girl is o.k. It could have been so much worse 8 feet is a huge fall & it's only a broken bone - she will heal & be fine.
So, we are still going to be 'on vacation' but now we're snuggling our beautiful girl on the couch (carefully) & just happy we're together as a family. And very, very thankful.

Peterson Family & the Enchanting Ella
The adorable 3 month old Ella of course stole the show in this family photo shoot. Cherie & Ward absolutely are enthralled with thier little angel & Cherie fits the role of mom like she was born to do it. Ward made a special trip home from work mid-day to join in the photos & a quick visit with his ladies. These guys are every bit the happy little family - thanks for sharing your Ella with me.
