Danielle-Ayana & Lloyd e-session

Hi everyone Matt here,
I'm loving that the warm weather is finally here and I can start coaxing people out of winter hibernation to shoot some cool e-sessions. Danielle-Ayana and Lloyd drove down from Edmonton to do just that before their big day on May 31. Unfortunately the weather in Cow Town wasn't very warm at all, so we started out with some shots in our studio, then we took off for some quick outdoor locations (until our teeth started chattering!). I had a great time hanging out with you both and I think the images we captured speak volumes about your close and loving relationship. Enjoy!

Tiny Tayah Taggart

Little Tayah arrived just after the Easter bunny this month & things have been hopping for parents Jamie & Ryan since. They've had lots of visitors, support, sleepless nights & joy in the last 11 days. Tayah is a very well developed newborn & she made it difficult to get the snuggly, angelic sleepy shots of the very new babies, but some fun awake & aware shots of her checking out this new world she's been welcomed into. Congrats Jamie & Ryan, Tayah's simply terriffic!

Taylor - 2 weeks & 2 days old

I met Erin 2 years ago when we photographed her sister's wedding & I was so excited when she contacted me to take some shots of their new little daughter, Taylor. Erin & I bonded over our love of all things damask & I was so impressed with her calm, laid back mothering skills. Most new parents are sleep-deprived, a little anxious about being new parents & a little unsure of how to deal with a brand new baby. Not Erin & Shawn, these two fell naturally into the parenting roles & are so gentle, patient & of course, completely in love with their new little angel. It was a pleasure shooting you guys & all our damask ideas, I think you'll be thrilled with Taylor's first photo-shoot!

Rowan - 6 months

I love it when past wedding clients e-mail to say they need some baby photos done, it's an amazing priviledge to document peoples lives over a long period of time. It's interesting because when people get married they feel like at that moment they love that person the most they could ever possibly love them. As time goes on & they start a family, that love grows even stronger & it's such a thrill for me to see people fall even more in love as their family grows.
Little Rowan was very suspicious of me when I first arrived & started photographing her for some 6 months portraits. (I love the first shot - her expression says EXACTLY what she was thinking) As the shoot progressed & with mom & dad reassuring her closeby that everything was ok she started to warm up & we got some great shots. Thanks for sharing Rowan with me Dany & Wanda, she's absolutely gorgeous. Enjoy.
